This tentative entry on our sci-fi movies list is cut because it contains elements of a sci-fi thriller. Set in what appears to be a utopian corporate district of the 1950s, a housewife (Florence Pugh) begins to suspect that the place’s founder (Chris Pine) is hiding a dark secret. It may not be her 10/10 movie, but Don’t Worry Darling is a compelling mystery in more ways than one.

Denis Villeneuve’s sci-fi blockbuster is back on HBO Max. Based on Frank Herbert’s novel, this epic recently won a number of Oscars, including Best Original Score and Cinematography. Catch the sprawling tale of the Atreides family, who wage war on the deadly planet Arrakis. A very impressive ensemble cast including Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac and Zendaya.
One of the best Alex Garland movies featuring one of the best robot dance scenes.
Prepare to be deeply rocked and glued to this unique sci-fi horror. Scarlett Johansson plays an alien who roams the streets of Scotland and preys on unsuspecting men. With amateur actors, unscripted sequences shot with hidden cameras, and a lens that captures an alien perspective, this captivating film is unique in many ways.
