A new investigation by Germany’s Greenpeace has determined that Chinese fashion brand SHEIN’s products offering fashion wear, gadgets and utility items are harmful to health and illegal.

The findings are based on the fact that 15 out of 47 SHEIN products contained hazardous chemicals. Five of the products were 100% in violation of EU law, and the majority contained worryingly high levels of chemicals.
Viola Wohlgemuth, who works for Greenpeace’s Toxic Substances and Economy Campaign, said Shein was indifferently breaking EU rules.
– Shein products containing hazardous chemicals flood the European market, breaking regulations not enforced by the authorities. But Wohlgemuth said that workers at Shane’s suppliers, people in neighboring communities, and the environment in China were largely responsible for Shane’s addiction to dangerous chemicals.
