Australian gossip columnist threatened to ‘throw’ Rebel Wilson out of controversy for gay speech again:
Andrew Hornery has again addressed his controversial “misunderstanding” and threatened to ban Rebel Wilson as gay.
Writing one of his “300 Word Celebrity Romance Stories,” he confronted the Pitch Perfect star about his secret same-sex relationship with Ramona Agulma and asked her to come out before breaking the news. In June, he revealed that he had been forced to do so.
The gossip columnist couldn’t “read the room” before reflecting on the scandal in a separate column for Saturday’s Sydney Morning Herald and expressing regret for “trying to pull back the curtain” on the “celebrity”. I remembered.
Andrew Hornery (pictured) has spoken again that he was “wrong” in the controversial moment and threatened to bar Rebel Wilson as gay.
“One of my 300-word celebrity romance stories accidentally venting frustration when trying to get someone to talk has never caused more backlash.
“Obviously I got it wrong and didn’t read the room. Give me a pause to think about what I’m doing and how I’m doing it in 2022.” I was.
“I apologized to Wilson and Agruma for being unfriendly and hurting them, and the Herald deleted the story.”

Hornery goes on to say that his “childhood heroes” Cher and Whoopi Goldberg “advised him” of his actions, and he is now wary of writing celebrity stories in the future.
“In the intrigues of the social media age, I’ve become more cautious when it comes to the world of journalistically opaque coverage of celebrity lives,” he said.
He wished Wilson and Agruma a happy new year, 42.

The Hollywood actress came out in June with an Instagram post announcing her new love of six months, to the delight of her 11.1 million followers.
“I thought I was looking for a Disney prince…but maybe what I really needed was a Disney princess until now,” Rebel captioned the post.
Hornery has since denounced Wilson’s decision to “gazump” his scoop, claiming that he found out about the relationship and intended to publish a story about it.
“Obviously I got it wrong and didn’t read the room. ‘ he said.
He gave Wilson two days to answer the question, effectively forcing the actress’ hand.
A wave of backlash ensued in response to Hornerley planning to “kick out” Wilson and complaining about her dominance over the announcement.
Hornery apologized a few days later, claiming he never intended to “pain” Wilson by contacting him about his romance with Agruma.
He said Happy New Year to Wilson and Agruma.
