Ginger Duggar couldn’t have had a normal childhood. It was too extreme for her to have a normal adulthood either.
Ginger grew up believing that her god might strike her to death if she didn’t read enough of the Bible. It does permanent damage.
Unfortunately for Ginger and her sisters, their parents and the abusive cult they belonged to wasn’t the only issue. was the source.
yes, numberGinger hasn’t spoken to his eldest brother, the corrupt monster, for about two years.
Ahead of her January 31st book release be truly free, Ginger Duggar gave an interview. She promotes her memoir, but she’s also just answering questions.
Naturally, her disgraced brother, Josh Duggar, showed up.
Josh is currently serving a 12-year sentence in federal prison after receiving and possessing Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). It wasn’t his first crime, just his first conviction.
When Ginger speaks peopleshe shared that while Josh is in prison, she does not visit or call him.
“I have absolutely no desire to speak to him,” Ginger confirmed.
It’s one of the easiest words I’ve ever heard in my life. Especially from the Daggers.
Over the years, some members of Ginger’s family have held the blame on politicians, the “sinful world” of mainstream society, and even literal, actual demons.
“It’s so heartbreaking to see the decisions my brother Josh made,” she said.
“It breaks my heart for the victims and their families,” Ginger said of the CSAM survivors.
Ginger is correct in focusing on the victim. In this case it means a little girl. A grown man ruined his life on camera. More and more adult men — men like Josh — have collected the fruits of trauma for their own enjoyment.
One of the many reasons I advocate discouraging calling CSAM “child pornography” is that it is a misnomer. Porn has porn actors. CSAM has victims.
Even so, Ginger has no personal desire to contact his mean brother, but still thinks of him.
Ginger said he was praying for his brother.
Her hope is that he will one day repent of his heinous crimes.
Ginger wants Josh to “really change”. Contrary to what he’s done in the past, he’s gotten a little trickier about hiding his attraction to very young girls.
It’s not clear, but I don’t hear Ginger saying that he’s willing to meet him even though he’s been described as “changed.” We don’t want her to meet like that.
Sometimes change means you no longer hurt others. It does not negate the harm you have already done. Some things are not allowed.
However, there is one relationship with Josh that Ginger will always maintain.
So Ginger says he will always support Josh’s family.
“If Anna and the kids want to talk, I’m always here. Any way I can help and love them,” she affirmed.
Ginger added:
Unfortunately, Anna continues to visit Josh in prison. Various reports suggest that Anna actually believes her husband is somehow “innocent.” Luckily, the jury wasn’t so gullible.
Ginger has revealed in interviews and books that she knew the cult she grew up in was toxic.
Some people are slow to celebrate. They look at her husband and his beliefs and wonder if she simply traded her one cult for another, which just forces her to put on her pants.
