Despite what his ex has to say about Gina Kirschenheiter and Travis Mullen’s relationship, things are… looking good.
The two have a low-key romance. The Real Housewives of Orange County star.
Clearly, they’re not the only ones enjoying their love.
Gina revealed that the two are “now married” after a “surprise wedding.” But is it really marriage if the couple themselves aren’t part of the surprise?
Over the weekend, Gina Kirschenheiter uploaded a short video to Instagram.
Reels (Instagram desperately wants to be a TikTok, right?) show videos of her, Travis, and a bunch of kids.
As the video’s caption explains, the children are citing a “wedding” for the two.
“Soooooo….we’re married now,” Gina Kirschenheiter wrote with Lille.
She explained, “The kids invited me and @travis.mullen.85 to their backyard wedding.”
Gina ended the caption by writing, “It was absolutely perfect.”
Now, considering this was a “surprise wedding” and the kids planned it…the obvious needs to be stated.
Gina wrote the words “we are married now”, but the context seems to indicate that this is not literal.
Between emoji and the legal requirements of a real wedding, this isn’t necessarily a formal knot.
It will be interesting to hear Gina confirm that she and Travis are indeed married.
But… it’s also a surprise. Again, there are some pretty specific legal requirements.
Although a real marriage is two or more adults cementing a relationship in their own minds, most people who are legally allowed to marry refer to it as “unless they have a marriage certificate.” I don’t consider it “official”.
Gina Kirschenheiter’s ugly marriage to ex-husband Matt ended while she was on reality TV.
Among other things, she had to call the police at some point after a harrowing incident. Authorities arrested Matt at that point, and Gina decided to make a victim impact statement in court.
Seeing her move with Travis Mullen is mostly RHOC Viewers, a breath of fresh air and relief.
The kids seem to be crazy about their relationship, too.
For an adult, throwing a “surprise wedding” for a couple is pushy and can end the friendship, even if the couple themselves survive.
But when kids do it, they’re not trying to drop hints. they are just cute.
Gina has enjoyed the ups and downs of popularity over the course of her reality TV career.
For example, many find her to be more relatable than some of her castmates.
Additionally, she often has good moments and has served as a voice of reason to her less rational castmates.
In recent seasons, however, some viewers felt that Gina needed to cool down.
Obviously, it’s part of her job.
Hopefully Season 17, which fans expect to start relatively early in the year, will show her in a more likeable light.
