Sarah Michelle Gellar has said she won’t see a movie with her husband in 15 years because Freddie Prinze Jr. ruined a part of ‘The Sixth Sense’ for him.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the actress was a guest on “The Graham Norton Show” on Friday promoting the new Paramount + show “The Wolfpack,” which premiered on the streaming service on Thursday. spoke with fellow guest M. Night Shyamalan about how a filmmaker known for dramatic twists in his films hates spoilers.
“I was being interviewed today for the new movie ‘Knock at the Cabin,’ and they were like, ‘When can we talk about the ending of this movie,'” Shyamalan said. “I was like, ‘Never. Never in this lifetime.'”
Gellar then asked if she could tell him “the most embarrassing story ever” about her own issues with spoilers that seemed to surprise Shyamalan.
“About 20 minutes into the movie, I said something. As if it popped up, ‘Oh, is that…?’ talked about “And her husband hasn’t seen a movie with me for 15 years.”
“Of course,” Shyamalan replied jokingly.
Although they have never seen a movie together, Gellar and Prinze have co-starred in several films.
The couple met on the set of the 1997 horror film I Know What You Did Last Summer and played Fred and Daphne in the live-action version of “Scooby-Doo” before marrying in Mexico in 2002.
They worked on several other projects during their marriage, including “Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed,” “Happily N’Ever After,” and the second season of the animated TV series “Star Wars Rebels.”
After celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary in September 2022, Gellar delved into radio host Howard Stern and told Prinze in a pre-wedding interview that their union “won’t last.”
“What do you think? I think you owe us,” the “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” star told Stern on his Instagram story, according to People.
