He was hospitalized after contracting Covid twice in two weeks
Former chairman and founder of the IPL (Indian Premier League), Lalit Modi, who recently made headlines for his relationship with Bollywood actor Sushmita Sen, is on oxygen support after having two Covid attacks in two weeks. I received “with influenza and severe pneumonia”.
On Friday, Lalit took to Instagram to discuss his condition, revealing he was in Mexico when he became infected.
“After three weeks of confinement with double Covid in two weeks with the flu and severe pneumonia, Post tried several times to leave. Ultimately, two doctors and a very capable superstar I landed in an ambulance accompanied by my son who has done a lot for me London.The flight was smooth.Unfortunately we use external oxygen 24/7 Thanks to all @vistajet for flying the extra mile. I am very grateful for all. Love to all.
Sharing a photo from the airport, he wrote in another post: “They flew to Mexico City to accompany me back to London. I am currently using 24/7 external oxygen.”
After learning of Lalit’s unwell health, several people, including members of the sports and entertainment industry, took to the comment section to wish him a speedy recovery.
Rajeev Sen, Lalit’s alleged girlfriend Sushmita’s brother, also reacted.
“Wishing Lalit a speedy recovery. Stay healthy,” he commented on social media.
Lalit announced his relationship with Sushmita in July 2022. He made the revelation in a note and posted a series of photos on Instagram. He called the Bollywood actor his “better half”.
“Just returned to London after a whirlwind world tour #Maldives #FamilyTogether #Sardinia – not to mention my #better partner @sushmitasen47 – finally a new beginning of a new life. By the grace of God it happens stuff. We have announced that we are together (sic),” Lalit posted.
He then changed his Instagram profile picture (with Sushmita), as well as his bio, which had a line about her. A few months later, he deleted his profile picture and changed his bio, leading to rumors of a breakup.
However, the Bollywood actor has neither confirmed nor denied any alleged relationship or breakup.
