Christie’s next auction may be the answer to today’s beauty famine.
On February 15th, the exclusive auctioneer will begin bidding for the “André Leon Talley Collection” in New York. The 68-lot sale offers the late fashion editor’s personal selection of items, ranging from haute couture clothing to handbags, jewelry, fine art, books and home décor. Curated with coveted pieces from Hermes, Versace, Louis Vuitton and Bottega Veneta, the collection is as glamorous and soaring as the man who put it together. The assortment includes Tully and fashion icons Karl his Lagerfeld, Diane Von his Furstenberg, Ralph his Lucci, Tom Ford, Diana his Vreeland, Anna his decades-long relationship with Winter is also reflected.

With over 40 years in the fashion industry, our charismatic editor has captured one or more rare fashion items that could sell well above asking price. Talley is known internationally for its unique status in the fashion industry. Before her death in January 2022, the life-size journalist was raised by her grandmother during the Jim Crow era in Durham, North Carolina. He graduated from North Carolina State University in his 1970 with a BA in French Literature. Soon after, Lord began his graduate studies at Brown University in Island State.
