Actor and singer Farhan Akhtar celebrated the birthday of lyricist and screenwriter Javed Akhtar via an Instagram post. Javed turned 78 on Tuesday. Farhan shared a black and white photo of his father. He wrote a heartfelt message to Javed to commemorate the occasion.Zoya Akhtar, Javed’s director and daughter, also shared a photo of his father and wished him a happy birthday.She wished him ” I called him Daddy. Along with fans, Hrithik Roshan, Shibani Dandekar and Chunky Panday responded to Javed’s post on his Farhan’s birthday. Farhan shared a black and white photo of Javed. Here, Javed wears a coat and smiles as he poses for the camera. Sharing the photo on Instagram, Farhan wrote, “Happy birthday. What you mean to me and to everyone whose life, thoughts and work you have had a greater impact on.” I love you (red heart emoji).” He also tagged his father. His sister Zoya and his wife Shivani have dropped heart emojis. Actor Rithik Roshan also posted a heart emoji. Actor Chunky Pandey commented, “Happy Birthday Javed Saab (red heart and hugging emoji),” while Mir Sawar wrote, “Happy Birthday Ustad E Mortarum.”
In response to the post, one of Javed’s fans wrote, “Happy Birthday GOAT.” Another fan wrote, “Happy birthday, forever legend! Keep shining.” Another fan wrote, “Happy birthday, good luck.”
Zoya posted on Instagram an old black-and-white photo of her father from 1964, with the caption, “Happy birthday pa (red heart emoji).” She used “Javed Akhta”, “Bombay” and “1964” as hashtags. Actor Rithik said, “Happy Birthday Uncle Javed. Shweta Bachchan, daughter of Amitabh Bachchan, Happy Birthday Uncle Javed. What a wonderful picture.”
Javed is the father of Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar. He married writer Honey Irani and in 1984 Shabana he married Azumi. Farhan separated from Adhuna in 2016 after 16 years of marriage. Farhan then married Sivani Dandeka on February 19, 2022 after dating for almost four years.
Javed Akhtar recently released his new book titled Jadunama, a coffee table book published by Gulzar. The title of the book comes from the screenwriter’s nickname Jadu. A compilation of excerpts and quotes from his famous speeches.
