Fans across social media expressed their grief on their social media accounts, mourning the passing of Elvis Presley’s only daughter, Lisa Marie Presley.
Shortly after the news came to light, people began sharing video clips of Austin Butler thanking his family for the opportunity to star in Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis biopic.
The first user pointed out, “Austin Butler’s thank you to Priscilla and Lisa Marie Presley two days ago is now very powerful…a lip to Lisa Marie.”
A social media page dedicated to classic rock even shared an image of Presley and wrote, “RIP Lisa Marie Presley.”
Some fans straight to the heartstrings, writing: I send all the power I have to all her loved ones.This is absolutely devastating. ”
A fourth fan also shared a similar image of Lisa’s childhood, writing, “King Elvis Presley and his princess Lisa Marie Presley RIP together again.”
The news comes shortly after it was announced that the daughter of Elvis Presley, Lisa Marie Presley and Priscilla Presley had died at the age of 54.
The news was also confirmed by close family members, whose representatives released a statement to Entertainment Tonight saying, “Priscilla Presley and the Presley family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Lisa Marie. I have.”
“They sincerely appreciate everyone’s support, love and prayers and ask for privacy during this very difficult time.”
For those uninformed, Lisa was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance after suffering a complete cardiac arrest in Calabasas, California.
First responders are also said to have performed CPR at the scene before finally transporting her to a nearby hospital.
Lisa is also the only daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley who were born in Memphis, Tennessee.
With her parents separated, Lisa spent most of her childhood at Elvis’ Graceland mansion in Los Angeles and Memphis.
Her father also died of heart failure on August 16, 1977, when Lisa was nine years old.
