Some big chains are already offering discounts, but most wait until Saturday, January 7, when the traditional New Year’s sale begins.
The Trade Act 2012 establishes two main sales periods per year, but individual retailers have the flexibility to decide exactly when they start and end.
January sales typically offer discounts of up to 70% on select items, but the current economic climate has given warnings in the fall that big bargains may be scarce.
As for dates, major Inditex chains like Zara, Oysho, Pull & Bear, Stradivarius, Lefties and Massimo Dutti will be offering online bargains starting January 6th at 8pm, with storewide sales the following day. let’s start doing ….
Inditex will be available in stores until March 7th.
The Tendam group, which has brands such as Springfield and Women’s Secret, will also wait until Saturday, with the campaign running until March 7.
The El Corte Ingles Group, which includes the Sfera shop, is offering discounts of up to 40%, ending Wednesday.
