On Friday (January 6th), RuPaul’s Drag Race is set to enter its 15th season, with more queens and even bigger prize money to come. The latest season sees a record number of his 16 queens vie for $200,000 to claim the title of America’s Next Drug Superstar.
Along with the set of new queens, this season will also feature a vast array of celebrity guest judges ready to offer their expertise and advice on how to beat the competition. Appearing in Friday’s season premiere episode, Janelle Monae, Maren Morris, Hayley Kiyoko, Orville Peck, Ali Wong, Amandla Stenberg, Harvey Gillen, Julia Garner and Megan・Stars such as Statler are scheduled to appear.
Fans accustomed to watching shows on VH1 will also have to make some adjustments in Season 15 — for the first time in the franchise’s history, RuPaul’s Drag Race will air exclusively on MTV.
