Zomato and Blinkit have made a very interesting collaboration. This collaboration is mostly about advertising, flipping popular Bollywood lines. Here’s what the two companies did: Two billboards, one for Zomato and one for Blinkit, featured some of the popular lines from the 2002 film Maa Tujhhe Salaam. The dialogue that appears in the movie has become a pop culture phenomenon, with many memes being made. Kashmiri mangoji, chia denge (ask for milk, we’ll deliver kheer, ask for kashmir, we’ll tear you apart).
An advertising collaboration between Zomato and Blinkit has twisted this dialogue. A yellow sign on a grocery delivery platform reads ‘Doodh mangoge, doodh denge’.
The slogans ‘Kheer mangoge, kheer denge’ (ask for kheer and we’ll deliver) were displayed on billboards of food delivery platforms and mirrored each other.
Zomato shared the advertising collaboration on Instagram, writing, “Insta collab featuring Billboard collab.” The post has so far garnered him over 55,000 likes and hundreds of funny comments.
Zomato is one of the leading food delivery apps in India while Blinkit is a grocery delivery service. Customers can order everything from keel to milk through these apps.
Zomato acquired Blinkit (formerly Grofers) in June 2022 in an all-share transaction for Rs 4,447 crore. The industry is growing rapidly both in India and globally as customers see great value in fast delivery of groceries and other essentials.”
Zomato co-founder and chief technology officer Gunjan Patidar recently resigned from the company. Other top level executives last year included Mohit Gupta, co-founder of the company; of Gaurav Gupta was included.
