Last year, Paul Staele and Karine Martins teamed up to battle to regain custody of their sons Pierre and Ethan.
The semi-estranged spouses lost custody separately (months apart) in 2021 and 2022.
For months, Paul has (perhaps unwisely) publicly denounced the family courts, the CPS, and the judges who presided over their cases.
This week, he and Karine attended a new hearing — one that could have far-reaching implications for them and their children.
On Tuesday afternoon, January 10th, Paul Staehle shared some news on his Instagram story.
“Tomorrow is the court that will decide the future of my children,” he announced to his fans and followers.
“I will be attending virtual with Karine,” Paul said. “We wish the best.”
Before and after that post, Paul shared stories of what appeared to be paid promotions.
These could be scheduled posts.Or even that outside company (as sometimes 90 day fiancee alums) has access to post on behalf of Paul.
Likewise, we all know that even parents in custody battles usually have to keep working. Even if that “work” involves social media publicity.
Meanwhile, Wednesday afternoon, Karine Martins posted a more practical post to Instagram.
The link she shared in her story says “help me” and is accompanied by an invitation to “click here.”
Link leads to Karine’s GoFundMe. Her aim is to raise money for her and Paul’s ongoing custody battle.
Now she’s just over three-fifths of the way toward her $5,000 goal.
obviously, many 90 day fiancee Fans who have followed Paul and Karine’s extreme ups and downs have mixed feelings about the idea of giving.
Many are heartbroken over how Karin is feeling right now. At the same time, many are unsure if a family reunion is best for Ethan and Pierre.
Karine lost custody of the couple’s sons for the first time in late 2021. That was around the time I had a pretty big confrontation with Paul.
The video, which many fans have concluded may have been originated solely by Paul himself (who relentlessly monitors his home and has been monitoring it for years), shows Karine abusing him. seems to indicate
There is always the possibility that the video is misleading. However, the couple appeared to be at odds in front of their children.People believe this played a role in Karine’s loss of custody.
However, Paul maintained custody for months and lost it in the late spring of 2022.
As to why he lost custody, did he attribute it to an interstate trip with Pierre, allowed the boys to see Karin without supervision, or accused Karin of threatening her life? (WTF?), showed some versions.
I don’t know which version, if any, of Paul’s story to believe. However, CPS removed Pierre and Ethan from his care.
As is his habit, Paul has an enormous amount to share (and overshare) in the process of all this.
He’s working with Karine to fight for custody, even though they’re (as far as we know) still exes.
Paul also took a business trip to Brazil without his semi-estranged wife. Oh, and while he was there, he filmed with Karine’s male cousin for his OnlyFans page.
Paul and Karine didn’t immediately provide a concrete update after Wednesday’s hearing. I can’t.
We suspect Paul will speak out if he has news to share and he can share it.
