David Crosby, co-founder of legendary Crosby, Stills & Nash, has passed away. he was 81 years old.
singer’s wife Jandanceconfirmed the news of his passing in a statement to variety Thursday, January 19th.
“It is with great sadness that we lost our beloved David[Crosby]Crosby after a long illness. He was lovingly surrounded by his wife and soulmate Jean and son Django.” and read the statement. “Although he is no longer with us, his humanity and kind soul continue to guide and inspire us. His legacy lives on through his legendary music. David and Peace, Love and Harmony to all who knew the people he touched.I will miss him.At this time we are deeply grieving and trying to cope so with all due respect Kindly ask for privacy. Thank you for your love and prayers.”

After leaving the folk-rock group in 1968, Crosby formed Crosby, Stills & Nash. Neil Young Later joined the group for live performances, the band later became Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.
CSN recorded three gold albums over the years, and Cosby co-wrote some of their biggest hits, including “Lady Friend,” “Everybody’s Been Burned,” and “Why.” The songwriter has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, her stint on the Byrds in 1991 and her stint on CSN in 1997.
