The Invitational Celebrity Classic, presented by Choctaw Casinos and Resorts, returns this spring. The tournament will once again benefit two children’s nonprofits, the Momentous Institute, and First Tee Greater Dallas and First Tee Fort Worth.
This unique PGA TOUR Champions golf tournament will feature the legends of the PGA TOUR Champions game, as well as top celebrity athletes and entertainers. It takes place April 21-23 at the Las Colinas Country Club.
The tournament is a rarity in professional golf with 73 PGA TOUR champions (50+) and 40 celebrities competing for $2.5 million in prize money. The second annual event will pair the celebrity and his PGA Tour champion in the same group as he battles 54 holes over three days. All three days of his tournament will be televised by his GOLF Channel.
This year’s contestants include Chicago Bears Hall of Fame linebacker Blaine Urlacher and 11-time PGA Tour Champions Jerry Kelly. Other notables entering the contest are Jon Lester, Jon Smoltz, Emmitt Smith, DeMarcus Ware, Greg Maddux and returning champion Mardy Fish. Celebrities play in a modified Stableford scoring format.
Last year, the PGA Tour champions who attended the tournament included 2022 winner Scott Parel and Golf Major champions John Daly, Retief Goosen, Mark Calcavecchia, Ernie Els and Vijay Singh.
Thanks to the support and partnerships of major sponsors Choctaw Casinos & Resorts, Energy Transfer and Invited, fans will be able to enjoy free admission to Grand Tickets this year.
