Alton-Columbus Council 460’s Alton Knights will host a celebrity dinner on February 3 for the Capital Renovation Campaign for St. Peter and Paul Church.
All funds raised will be used for the $800,000 goal to restore and restore the historic St. Peter and Paul Church, also known as the “Old Cathedral.”
Headlining the dinner is Frank Cusumano, sports director for KSDK/Channel 5 in St. Louis. Cusumano has been on Channel 5 for his 30th year and KFNS radio host for his 30th year. His detailed, humorous, and often heartwarming reports have earned him much acclaim.
Cusumano has won 20 Emmy Awards, 10 Missouri Broadcaster Awards, and 4 Edward R Morrow Awards. He has been inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame, the St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame, and the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Lewis Hall of Fame and Desmet High School Hall of Fame. While at DeSmet, he was captain of his basketball team, which won his 63-game streak.
Meteorologist Mike Roberts, Cusumano’s former colleague on Channel 5, will host the evening.
Dinner will be held at the Best Western Premier Hotel in Alton. Individual tickets are $50. There are also sponsorship opportunities available at the $500 and $1,000 levels. Sponsors will receive an invitation to his private reception with Cusumano prior to dinner, as well as reserved seating and recognition during the program.
