KNOXVILLE, Tennessee (WATE) — Tennessee Lady Vol great Candace Parker will be attending one of the longest-running game shows of all time on Thursday to raise money for charity.
Parker, who led the Lady Vols to back-to-back NCAA championships in 2007 and 2008, appears in an episode of Celebrity Jeopardy!.will be broadcast on ABC at Thursday, January 12th at 8pm.
She will face actress Torrey DeVito and comedian Patton Oswalt.
Each celebrity Jeopardy! Contestants compete to have their winnings donated to a charity of their choice.hoodie is Mamba & Mambachita Foundationprovides sports education to underserved athletes.
The charity was started by retired NBA star Kobe Bryant and renamed after Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, were among nine people killed in a helicopter crash. .
Parker, a two-time Olympic gold medalist and WNBA MVP, recently confirmed that he plans to return to Chicago Sky for his 16th WNBA season. She has also worked as an analyst and commentator for the NBA and her NCAA men’s basketball tournament coverage since 2018.
She also served as executive producer of the documentary Title IX: 37 Words That Changed America, It was released last year to coincide with Title IX’s 50th anniversary.
