Britney Spears has inspired many tabloid headlines this week.
Apparently, because when Britney does it, the mere act of going out to dinner is newsworthy.
Yes, Britney and husband Sam Asghari went to a restaurant last week (Joey is in LA in case you want to bet on location in hopes of a repeat performance. Just kidding. Don’t do that). Things don’t go according to plan.
Britney was forced to leave because her adoring fans didn’t stop recording her every move.
Bizarrely, the incident was blamed on Britney by some media outlets, with some even claiming Spears was behaving like a maniac.
Either way, Britney’s fans are deeply invested – perhaps a little overprotective, but I think it’s understandable given everything she’s been through.
So it makes sense that they’ve been analyzing her every move that week since the incident at the restaurant.
(Yes, there’s irony in the fact that she was kicked out of a restaurant by an overzealous fan, and now her Instagram followers are basically getting the same treatment, but their hearts are in the right place. think. )
And a lot is made out of the fact that Britney changed her Instagram display name from Channel 8 to Red River.
She announced the changes in photographs of the surface of Mars.
“Bright stuff…it’s easy, isn’t it!!! Thank you childhood friend, I found my ball…don’t underestimate the power of purity!!!” Spears captioned the photo, saying, Added.
“Look at it all… it’s liquid, it’s wet… it’s playful and it has mass!!! Changed name to River Red!!!”
Fans quickly accepted this change. In fact, many took the change as a sign of a new era in the pop icon’s career.
“It’s very interesting that Britney changed her Instagram name from Channel 8 to River Red, does anyone know what it means?”
“The Channel 8 era is officially over. Britney Spears is now River Red,” added another.
“Wake me up when @RCARecords decides to start releasing an album of unreleased songs.”
We’re not sure why the cryptic reference to Mars means Britney is releasing new music, but it makes more sense than the second most popular theory. It’s a way of announcing the end.
Yes, following the restaurant incident, there were reports that Asghari was found acting in a “dominant” manner towards Britt.
Apparently, some fans think she got fed up and called off the marriage.
Asghari spoke to TMZ this week to clarify his name.
“No, I can’t even control what I eat for dinner!” the male model told the site.
“Oh, I know a lot has happened in the past, so I understand where they’re coming from. They’re just protective,” he added.
“If anything, they’re just good fans.”
Yes, Sam seems to fully understand the extremely protective nature that Britney’s fans feel towards their favourites.
But that doesn’t mean it’s all a little less tiring.
