strum: Niño Brown Last week we released a new single named ‘Dizzy’. Longtime listeners of the Cortez Garza-born artist will quickly notice that this is the first instance of his acoustic his guitar reappearance since adopting the Brown moniker. The song serves as a strong undercurrent for a melodic pop-R&B track that, once heard, isn’t as incongruent with his other singles as it sounds on paper. First of all, it’s time for Brown to release a full-length album. A single is dandy, but it’s time for a collection of songs arranged in a particular order. So please consider my order. sweat loaf: I must say, I’m really delving into the slow slides into the semi-anonymous music happening in certain corners of the music scene. rubber adder, itself courtesy of “SuL E. HoLmSs”. It’s been years since this kind of heavy, acid and crispy, freak scene, heavy metal punk thrash spread in Athens, and I welcome it.the name of the new album mechanically separated chicken, Since 2021, it’s actually the third collection of songs from Rubber Udder. I’m not going to go into individual tracks here, but suffice it to say that if you dig Butthole Surfers, Bar-BQ Killers, and/or Melvins, you should. You can snuggle up next to something. SING IT TO ME NOW: It’s been a while Patrick Brick release some new songs under him Futo umbrella. And he just did it with his five-song EP. behind the callHis last release was for 2021 stand out in his fieldIt’s probably the least obvious electronically oriented release from Futo, understandable given his habitual collaboration with Four Eyes. That said, while this doesn’t mimic that project’s lighthearted sonic height, it approaches a similar level of emotional depth. can be enjoyed up front rather than behind the production brilliance. Even so, this is a sharply produced release, not something that was recorded on a paper cup. The highlights here are the opening song “Little Life” and his track with a surprisingly rocking title. they can be heroes: sets the dials to Saturday, February 4th. cine’s labbecause this is straight bill out of the Valley of Impossible Dreams, the three bands defied all commonly accepted rock music odds and culminated. Pylon Reproduction Association, managed to defy all preconceived notions of what a tribute band could be.Then we have Deathlocker dying tearsthey’ve been struggling with it for over 20 years, still keeping their heads up and honing their sights, and now have groundbreaking status. Publish, this is the band’s exhilarating thrill thanks to the guys who have been in so many bands. Basically, these three acts have done things that no one has actually done. Vision and purpose he maintains for 20 years, fighting reactions of shrugging and blatant indifference. And decades after each of them started playing music, they formed the best bands of their individual members’ lives. This might be an overly romantic way of looking at all this, but hell, that’s where I come from. Doors open at 9:00 p.m. and cost $10.
