The Alpine Theater Project is doing everything in its power to bring back the entertainment-filled Broadway season to Whitefish.
Seeking to make audiences laugh, cry and inspire, the 2023 season includes Broadway classics, talented kids on stage and incredible musical performances.
Here’s what’s in the bill for next season:
February 10-11: “In the Mood: An Evening of Big Band Swing” at the Whitefish Performing Arts Center — Travel back in time this Valentine’s Day weekend in a tribute to the big band era. The Great American Songbook will feature hits such as Glenn’s Miller and Gershwins, and will feature full big band and Broadway vocalists.
April 28-30: “Les Miserables – ATP Kids” at the Whitefish Performing Arts Center — The high school production of “Les Miserables” is the longest-running musical in the world. The most memorable score of all time. Epic, grand and uplifting, “Les Miserables” packs an emotional assault that has thrilled audiences around the world.
July 6-July 15: The Million Dollar Quartet at the Whitefish Performing Arts Center — This Tony Award-nominated musical takes place on December 4, 1956 and stars Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins joins Elvis Presley at Sun Records in Memphis for one of the best jam sessions ever. Bringing the fabled December Nights to life with a unique story, the performance relives the era with a smash hit sensation featuring an incredible score of rock ‘n’ roll and gospel. , rhythm and blues, and country hits performed live on stage by world-class actors and musicians.
July 31-August 2: ATP Kids! Summer Camp at the Whitefish Performing Arts Center — 45 young aspirants team up with 10 Broadway professionals to put together a spectacular concert.
September 1-September 3: ‘Gypsy’ at Whitefish Performing Arts Center — A jewel of Broadway’s Golden Age, ‘Gypsy’ graces the Broadway stage with an unparalleled score, brilliantly conceived book Boasts one of the best lead roles. The show, in concert format, is an All-Star led by ATP artistic director Betsy Morrison with his cast playing Mama Rose.
October 21-22: “Cats – ATP Kids” at the Whitefish Performing Arts Center — “Cats” is one of the longest-running shows in West End and Broadway history. Cats: Young Actors Edition captures the magic of a record-breaking Broadway production while introducing students to musical sensations in a completely accessible way. The epic sheet music contains one of musical theater’s most treasured songs, “Memory”.
October 27-29: “The Rocky Horror Show” at Mountain Center — The cult classic returns to Whitefish as the outrageous 1975 film combines with live music on stage.
December 1-3: “Yuletide Affair Kids 2” at Mountain Center — For the 20th consecutive year, the ATP’s most popular show is transformed into an equally spectacular ATP KIDS show. Enjoy Santa pictures, ornament painting, hot cocoa and a great show for the whole family.
December 20-22: “Yuletide Affair 20” at the Whitefish Performing Arts Center — the 20th anniversary of the ever-popular mix of heartwarming holiday music and irreverent satire.
