Plaza’s April rolled into the update desk with the characteristic indifference she displayed during the NBC sitcom’s run.
“Everybody should join where they live. If you’re young, you should get a job as a garbage man or something,” April said in the lowest energy.
April then began listing all the jobs young people could do at a bare minimum, such as “I’m a dog catcher and say I didn’t find anything.” April then got mad at Jost and asked her to ask her boss, Leslie Knope. That’s when Poller rolled into the update desk.
Polar’s Leslie was fascinated by being turned on SNL I was mostly interested in getting behind the scenes tea.
Leslie told Jost, “I want you to pick your brains about this job, this show, because you saw this when Seth Meyers did it alone with everyone else. He did it.” You made it look really easy.”
Jost agreed with Leslie, but changed the subject and asked her to talk about local government. But Leslie didn’t budge and asked her about her Joe Biden look if she could see her when she zoomed in.
“I think he pre-recorded it,” said Jost, while Leslie applauded, saying, “Oh, I thought this show was live.”
At the callback when Poehler was behind the “Weekend Update” desk, Leslie asked Jost if he could tell a joke and got into an anchor chair like the old days.
