New Delhi: Actor Vardhan Puri has been signed for three films after making his acting debut in the 2019 film ‘Yeh Saali Aashiqui’. However, due to the pandemic, they were shelved.
In an interview with Hindustan Times about his experience in the industry, the actor claimed to have met many people who pretended to be associated with the film industry. The actor, who worked as both an actor and an assistant director for a while, said people take advantage of actors who offer jobs in return.
“Some people ask for sexual favors directly and say, ‘If you pay me this much, I will give you this.’ Someone will say, main aapko X, Y, Z se milaunga or woh aapke liye film likh rahe hain. And later you find out that the person doesn’t know the director or the industry.
Speaking of his next film, Puri previously mentioned Vivek Agnihotri’s ‘Nautanki’.
However, Agnihotri reportedly said in an interview, “I’m not involved with movies anymore.” The director said he helped his colleague and friend actor Anupam Kha shoot the film during his first lockdown and was also involved in the first cut-outs, but as for the finished product. I did not know.
Speaking about the development, Vardhan Puri confirmed that everything is going according to plan.
