The 2023 Amelia Island Book Festival kicks off with the Authors in School program signed on February 17th. New York Times bestselling and local/regional award-winning authors visit schools in Nassau County. This program aims to put books in the hands of all students. Through event ticket sales and the generosity of our sponsors, donors and members, the Amelia Island Book Festival purchases books for these students. This year he will have more than 9,000 books purchased, delivered and gifted by authors.
The iconic Amelia Island Book Festival Celebrity Writers Gala will be held on Friday night, February 17 at the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island. The New York Times best-selling celebrity authors of the year are David Balducci, Kate Quinn, Scott Trow, and Janet Walls.
The evening begins with a cocktail reception, followed by a sit-down dinner with a live auction. Featured author Scott Turow will lead the discussion and his Q&A. The evening concludes with a celebrity book signing.
The Gala will be hosted by Nassau County Business Leader Jackson Selvage. To purchase tickets for the gala, visit ameliaislandbookfestival.org/gala. All proceeds go directly to the Authors in School Literacy Program.
The Authors’ Expo and Readers’ Extravaganza will be held on Saturday, February 18th at Fernandina Beach Middle School. The event is free to the community and is the most prominent way for authors to participate in the festival.
At the exposition, you will have the opportunity to interact with the authors in an up-close and personal way while they display and sell their books. Multiple activities for kids and adults, including celebrity author breakout presentations and book signings, as well as a Kids Zone keeps attendees and their families touring exhibits and engaging throughout her day can do.

The festival has been scaled back over the past two years due to pandemic restrictions.
