Singer Adnan Sami took to Twitter to celebrate RRR’s historic victory at the 2023 Golden Globe Awards. The SS Rajamouli director became the first Asian film to win her Best Original Song award for her hit Naatu Naatu. Minutes after Adnan Sami congratulated the film team, he responded to his Andhra Pradesh Prime Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s congratulatory tweet. “If it had said ‘Telugu Cinema is proud of all of India’ it would have been correct and it is true!!!” he added.
In response to the singer’s words, a user received a comment stating “Success has many fathers. It is indeed the pride of India and the pride of the Telugu language as it was an original song for the Telugu film industry. “The flag in Telugu means pride in Telugu. That’s it,” added another. Someone else also commented: It’s a win for India, not just the South. ”
Hours after RRR was declared the winner in the Best Original Song category, Adnan Sami was one of many celebrities who took to Twitter to congratulate the film’s team. He tweeted, “A very proud moment for India as a whole!! Vividness!!! Heartiest congratulations.”

RRR was nominated in two categories at the Golden Globe Awards. In 1985, it won the Best Original Song category, but lost to Argentina in the Best Non-English Film category.1985.
