This Dad’s Photoshoot Of His Baby Doing Manly Things Is Hysterical

Originally published January 24, 2020
I do not know for sure since I havent done it, however ending up being a moms and dad has actually got to be one of the scariest journeys to start. The process of growing a small individual inside your body?? Nightmare fuel. And even if youre not the one doing the incubating, becoming responsible for an entire person?? Making sure its watered and fed and clean?? Keeping it alive and being accountable for it??? For like, YEARS ???? My palms are sweaty simply considering it. Now envision on top of that, having your small human entered into the world prior to its totally prepared ?? TERRIFYING! And, sadly, all too common.
Matt Macs child Ryan was born 9 weeks ahead of schedule, weighing simply 3 pounds, and had to spend the very first 6 weeks of his life in a NICU with his parents unable to do anything but wait by his side.
This is a delighted story, I guarantee.
Ryans moms and dads optimism never waivered. Instead of stating he was premature they joked that he was just “advanced”– which motivated Matt to develop an entire series of images of their child doing all sorts of very “advanced” things once they brought him home. (See I told you this was a delighted story).
According to Matt each photo took around 20 minutes to shoot, and most of the work entered into setting up the scene and setting up the props. Once everything was set, either Matt or his other half would hold baby Ryan in the scene for the picture, and through a great deal of photoshop wizardry, Matt would then edit themselves out of the image and change or include in the placement of props.
In other words, dont stress– the baby isnt in fact holding an axe.
