A few days ago I wrote about Utica’s abandoned TNT Video on Varik Street and the fact that the front window was still full of tanned VHS tapes.
I couldn’t stop thinking about how strange this was. If you’ve ever seen a video of someone exploring Chernobyl, it reminded me of it. It looks as if someone dropped everything in the middle of a nuclear disaster and never got it back.
So, let’s have some fun here. I went through photos taken from the front window of the store and made a list of all the movie titles that I could easily read. I then decided to rank them according to my own opinion.
Let’s go!
Released two years after Gremlins, Critters wasn’t quite as clever a rip-off, but it wasn’t without its ambitious ’80s fun. I fondly remember this movie.
To Die For is a dark comedy directed by Gus Van Zandt and inspired by the true story of Pamela Smart, who is serving a life sentence for a murder conspiracy. I remember Nicole Kidman being really hot.
James Cameron’s terminator have the rare distinction of actually existing bad But that doesn’t mean it’s bad. The sequel was perfect.original terminator 80’s Schwarzenegger is the best.
Tombstone is a great ’90s western that takes the famous shootout at the OK Ranch with creative freedom. Worth checking out if you like the action sprinkled with a little history.
What hasn’t been said about Dumb & Dumber yet? A 90’s comedy masterpiece with Jim Carrey at his best. Almost all lines are quotable. “Do you want to hear the loudest sound in the world?”
It’s a Christmas movie. End of discussion.
2017 this The remake wasn’t bad, but I think it’s a little creepy about Tim Curry playing as Pennywise the Clown.
Cast Away made it cool to talk volleyball. It’s also proof that your wife will definitely move out if you go missing for a few years.
Another Tom Hanks masterpiece, Apollo 13 tells the true story of another major stain on NASA history. However, avoiding certain death is possible as long as Gary Sinise helps you out.
Another great Stephen King adaptation, Shawshank It’s an almost perfect movie. And we’ll give you some great ideas for getting away from the party you don’t want to attend.
You’ve seen pictures! What is your favorite tanned movie on abandoned TNT videos?!
